HARWOOD FARM

behind the brand

Robert and Maxine Walker are passionate about sharing their beautiful home and farm with others to host events and celebrate big life milestones.

They lived and worked for 35 years in downtown Washington, D.C. After raising their two daughters, the Walkers realized it was time for a change and pursued their dream of living in the country. The Walkers purchased Harwood in 1994 and since that time, they have made many significant restorations to the property while maintaining its historic natural beauty and its agricultural heritage. Today, the farm is a historic outdoor wedding and events venue and horse boarding facility on 146 acres of paradise in Howard County, Maryland.

I was so excited when Maxine reached out to work with her on a new website and print collateral. I fell in love with the vintage charm, stunning views, and long tree-lined driveway of the estate during our first site visit. We worked together to strategically craft content and allow their website and brand collateral to reflect the experience of hosting an event at Harwood Farm.

Fun fact – I loved everything about this farm. It’s incredibly special in person. My husband and I got married there years later in 2021! It was a dream.

VISUAL DIRECTION

Here’s what Harwood Farm had to say about Little Orange Studio:

“My new website is concise and advances my business in a very positive light and is designed in such a way that it is easy for a potential client to contact me. All design goals were accomplished, my website was published in a very short time, and I am already receiving inquiries. I believe my business will now grow to my expectations.”
